FROM GARAGE TO DESIGNER HOUSING. AN AMAZING AND WELL DESIGNED BEFORE AND AFTER
Many times I thought as I was walking down the street and passed by low places, what it would be like to rent or buy an old , large, high-ceilinged garage and transform it into a dwelling , simply because of the decorative challenge and the possibilities that a space so it offers. So, as soon as I saw this garage converted into a design home , I could not resist and I had to show it to you.
Garage converted into designer housing
The project runs hand in hand with the SIRËE architecture and interior design studio . A study that creates emotional spaces based on the needs and personal opinions of each client, designing an original project, optimizing the space at an aesthetic and functional level, thus achieving the dreamed space. And what if they have achieved all this in this house!
As we can see in the images, you can appreciate the design of the old garage with high ceilings, the garage door, the windows, etc., and the impressive change that the studio has carried out with great skill.
To regularize the triangular space of the garage, they placed two smaller rooms in the corners: the dressing room and the bathroom, raising both spaces at half height.
The rest of the available space was completed by ordering with an ingenious wooden module that, in addition to privatizing and giving privacy to each area, allows to take advantage of and optimize the available space. The high ceiling allowed and invited to create a solution of this character and the study took advantage of this opportunity, with the large wooden module that serves as a bedroom, staircase and shelf.
Naturally, the house is 100% functional , so it also has an open kitchen in which materials from the construction of the original period are fused , such as hydraulic tiles or white marbles , and the rest of contemporary materials, all in a Perfect balance, allowing housing to preserve its essence, its DNA.
